This is a place to rediscover your brave. We are all brave, but most of us have forgotten that. We spend our time and effort hiding behind excuses and labels. Most that we give ourselves. We will cover internal topics/struggles as well as big events outside of our control. And how we pick ourselves up and learn to be brave again after life knocks us flat. (I learned to be brave and when cancer took my dad I felt I lost it all.) Now I am setting off on a journey to be the brave person I have always wanted to be. Welcome to the month of LOVE! I say that with a bit of sarcasm. Many people don’t love the love month. They hate red and pink and all laser focus on one’s relationship status. And that is fair. And honestly, that is the camp I usually fall in. But what if we take a little different view of love.
Most of us have worked really hard to love other people. But how hard have you worked to love yourself? What kind of time and effort have you put into your relationship with yourself? It sounds more than a little silly and maybe downright crazy. Think about it for a moment though. You spend the most time with yourself. You talk to yourself the most.
So maybe this year we take a brave new stand and start down the path of loving ourselves. It is hard, but also a worthwhile endeavor. One that leaves you with confidence and a framework to be truly happy.
